Precautions

This will explain matters that require caution in the use of robot actions and matters that cannot be performed in robot actions.

To perform operations requiring administrator privileges, CELF needs to be run asadministrator

When RPA is used to operate commands that require administrator provileges or applications that can not be operated without administrator privileges, run CELF as administrator before running RPA actions.

  1. Exit CELF.

  2. Open “Curl Control Panel”.

    Hint

“Curl Control Panel” is displayed under “Curl RTE” in the Start menu.

  3. Click the “Shutdown” button.

  5. Now if you execute CELF, it will be run with administrator privileges.

You can not perform secure operations

You cannot perform operations that are protected by the OS security settings, such as “Press the Ctrl key, Alt key and Delete key at the same time”.

Operation on locked PC is not guaranteed

There is no assurance that operation will work when the screensaver is running or the PC is locked.

Operation in environments other than the PC that created the action set is not guaranteed

It’s not guaranteed to work in environments other than the one with which the action set was created, such as running on a different PC or running after the operating system is changed, e.g..

If you change the screen scale setting of display, you will need to logout and login again

If you change the screen scale setting of display, you will need to logout and login again. After changing the display magnification, there is no assurance that it will work when the robot action is executed without logging out.

Only the main display can operate even in environments using multiple displays

In an environment where multiple displays are connected to the PC, it is not possible to specify areas on the second and subsequent displays as the operation targets. You can operate as usual on the first display.

The screenshot acquisition mode may be shown at a display scale setting different from the setting in an environment where the display scale setting of the screen is changed

If you execute a screenshot in an environment where the display scale setting of the screen is changed, the display in the screenshot acquisition mode may be displayed at a larger scale setting than the original screen. By changing the setting of the CELF runtime environment, it will be displayed at the correct scale setting.

  1. Right-click “surge.exe” in the installation folder of the CELF runtime environment and select “Properties”.
